John Newton is known for his prolific work with many of the world’s leading orchestras and choral groups, including the Boston Symphony, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony, the New York Philharmonic, the Santa Fe Opera and the Kansas City and Phoenix Chorals. To date, he has garnered nine GRAMMY Awards and his company Sound Mirror is widely recognized as one of the industry’s premier production facilities.

John received his first GRAMMYs more than a decade ago in the Best Engineered Album, Classical and Best Classical Vocal Performance categories for Grechaninov: Passion Week and Loraine Hunt Lieberson Sings Peter Lieberson: Neruda Songs. This was followed by a GRAMMY in the Best Small Ensemble Performance category for Spotless Rose: Hymns to the Virgin Mary. In 2009, John won a Best Orchestral Performance GRAMMY for recording Ravel: Daphnis Et Chloe; then another Best Engineered Album GRAMMY for Aldridge: Elmer Gantry.
